Sega has come with an exciting opportunity for the people who always wanted to be the part of the playing team in the Olympics. There is no second opinion that almost every athlete considers him the best for the Olympics and wants to represent his nation there in the world class tournament. However, you are not supposed to be thirsty anymore because Sega has a solution for you. The company has announced the launch of an amazing game name as “London 2012 – the official video game of Olympic Games”. No doubt that game cannot be compared with the physical performance but still you can feel the charged crowd sitting in front of you and you are performing in the middle of the excited crowd. However, all this fanatic feeling can be felt only in the coming June when Sega is going to launch the game for the public.

The game can be enjoyed either on Sony PlayStation 3 Move console or on Microsoft Xbox Kinect console. The entire designed theme is according to the real Olympics games and you have to compete with the players using the remote controls of the above mentioned consoles. Movement sensors of both of the above mentioned devices can be used for playing the game and surely the game has characters efficiently integrated with the remote control settings. You are surely going to have time to immerse yourself in the overwhelming features that the game is going to offer. It is entirely different from the action games and based on the real games that all of the people throughout the world love to play.

A global leader board is expected to be created by the game manufacturing company, Sega. This is because it is desired that all the players who actually participate in Olympics are available also in the game and you can compete them. No doubt that there will be characters in the game but for sure the enthusiasm and spirit of the game will always be there among the players of “London 2012 – the official video game of Olympic games”.

Eric Busch, known as one of the most famous designers on Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 has explained Kinect for Xbox 360 System integration for this year’s game and also revealed new and interesting methods to play the game with the great efforts of his team. They have created the most immersive and real video game golf activities among others.

While they had previously launched motion-control system into the title, the technological innovation in Kinect provided them with the capability to track full body motions throughout 1,000 data details. This enabled them to determine a player’s discreet body movements and action mechanism. Using this detailed standard in their mind, they accomplished the design procedure for Kinect addition with two major objectives.

First, they planned to give a persuasive game play knowledge for players and golfers likewise (i.e., make it superior with Kinect!). Second, they wanted to make sure that gamers would be in a position to understand Kinect from beginning to end without ever demanding to get a game controller. In fact, this is the foremost controller-free, voice-empowered, sports simulation concept to compliment Kinect for Xbox 360!

Microsoft has confirmed the exact release date, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 with Kinect’s support will be releasing in the UK on the 30th March 2012.
Check out “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13- Kinect Preview” video after the break.

The football series of FIFA will include Move and Kinect for the first time in new PlayStation series. Although, many other games have already been introduced by EA Sports for PlayStation but Move and Kinect have been long awaited. This is really good news for all the EA Sports lovers and fans of Move and Kinect. If you have been waiting for these games to arrive in PlayStation then you should feel happy because, now you will be able to play these games very soon. EA has recently released FIFA 12 and on its launch, they have announced to introduce Move and Kinect for FIFA 13. For now, you will need to adjust with FIFA 12 and all the games that are being offered at the moment but the good news is that, more games including Move and Kinect will be introduced in FIFA 13 very soon.

The launch of FIFA 12 has been so successful that many midnight launches were reported in many parts of the country as well. If we talk about the local Tesco then a crowd of hundreds of people was witnessed waiting to get their copy of FIFA 13 till midnight. The core fan base of EA Sports is not used to of playing with motion sensor controls but this time, EA has moved forward by bringing motion sensor controls in the market as well. The Executive Produce of EA Sports, David Rutter was expressing his thoughts about the launch of motion sensor controls and he said that, these motion sensor controls will be compatible with the core fan base and it will not affect the criteria of playing games of all the old fans.

According to Rutter, this is a part of making this game more user friendly and providing the players with more easy ways of enjoying the game. This is not a marketing gimmick at all and the sole purpose of introducing these controls is to make sure that players can enjoy the game and feel the sensation as well. This will provide a new array of playing the FIFA game for all the fans.

The Senior VP of EA Sports, Andre Wilson also came in by giving a statement about the launch of new gaming controls. He also forced that these controls are introduced in order to make sure that players can enjoy the game in detail and EA Sports is focusing on Eleven VS Eleven game. That is the same portion in which company is investing the most at the moment. It can be said that the FIFA 12 launch was a great success and it broke many previous records. People were gathered at the supermarkets and gaming shops till midnight to get their copy of FIFA 12.

At the oddly named Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction Conference in Funchal, Portugal, last month, this is exactly what happened. Artist Karl D.D Willis led the Fabricate Yourself project as a ‘tangible’ way of recording the attendees at the conference.

Attendees posed in front of the Kinect Camera to have their 3D pictures taken. The photos were then transformed into a 3D puzzle with the help of a 3D printer. Take a look at the results for yourself!

Some of the ‘ideas’ being researched for the future are revealed in a video demonstration by Microsoft director of applied sciences Steven Bathiche. In the video he reveals the company’s ongoing work with ‘gesture-based prototypes’.

A few of the highlights include:

- Giving players the ability to a control a hologram image

- Kinect-enabled head tracking display

- The ability for two players to view two different images on the same screen, which would cut out the need for a split screen when playing in multi-player mode

While the above will not be available for use anytime soon, there looks set to be lots of advancements for Kinect lovers to be excited about in the future.

At the Xbox 360 Showcase held by Microsoft in February, Ubisoft’s ‘Child of Eden’ was unveiled for Xbox 360 Kinect as one of its upcoming games.

It is being hyped as one of the most eagerly anticipated games for Xbox 360 Kinect lovers, and MTV Multiplayer is pitching the game for release sometime before the end of June 2011.

The game was first unveiled at E3 last year, with reviewers appearing to fall in love with the Tetsuya Mizuguchi-conceived clone ‘Rez’. The game basically involves flying through multi-coloured cyber space destroying any baddies that come your way with the help of Kinect technology.

MTV games editor Russ Frushtrick was ‘impressed’ with what he saw of ‘Child of Eden’ and said the Kinect functionality was the ‘real star’ of the whole game!

The player uses their hand as the ‘targeting reticule’ moving it around the screen to find the target, before locking on and swiping the air to land the final blast and take out the enemy. There are a few different weapons to choose from…one of them apparently even involves clapping!

Will you be giving this game a big round of applause?

According to an article on UTV techtree.com, there is a BBC report stating that some Xbox 360 players are experiencing the ‘Red Ring of Death’ on their consoles once hooked up with the Kinect motion controller.

The ‘Red Ring of Death’ is basically the appearance of three red flashing status lights when something had gone seriously wrong with your console i.e. it no longer works! The good news for some is that the ‘plague’ does not appear to be affecting the newer slimmer version of the Xbox 360, only older generation models.

techtree.com reports that following the complaints flooding into the BBC and ZDnet Blogs, the problem has been linked to ‘flawed design and poor quality components used in the Xbox 360 that involves the lead solder cracking under heat and terminating the circuit’. The problem does not appear to surface until the console has been on or used for a long time and ‘the innards are heated up due to poor ventilation’.

The plot then thickens….Microsoft obviously disagrees with this diagnosis, responding that the issue is not connected to the Kinect, but is due to the age of the existing consoles. A Microsoft spokesman explained that Kinect has been designed to work with all Xbox 360s irrelevant of their age. “There is no correlation between the three flashing lights error and Kinect,” the spokesman told techtree.com. “Any new instances of the three flashing red error lights are merely coincidental.”

Well, with 8 million Kinect owners out there….what do you all think? Have you succumbed to RRoD yet? Will Microsoft have to develop a new hi-tech injection!?!

It’s time to give your brain and body a real good work-out with the latest new Xbox 360 Kinect game release.

Dr Kawashima’s Body and Brain Exercises has hit the game stands and you can find out how ‘old’ your brain is courtesy of the infamous Japanese neuroscientist.

Already hailed as one of the most popular releases on other game platforms, Kinect players can now carry out gentle exercises to get those brain cells pumped, while attempting more traditional mathematics and brain-teasing puzzles to sharpen your skill and acumen.

The game focuses on performing a set of daily ‘exercises’, as set out by the virtual Dr Kawashima. Your progress is then charted on a calendar every day and your ‘brain age’ regularly calculated – hopefully seeing a downward trend! Over a period of time your ‘brain age’ should fall to reveal how mentally great you are and with the ability to cope with even tougher puzzles.

After the initial test stage of the game, you will receive your ‘brain age’ and then a daily set of exercises to complete. These exercises and other mini games are explained and ‘driven’ by the Dr Kawshima avatar and Wattson the Lightbulb. You can however, just choose to play the mini-games and to play along with friends in multi-player mode.

The player performs a wide range of healthy exercises, which are based on the theme of mental puzzles and using physical actions to solve them. According to gaming news and opinion site thesixthaxis, kinect does a good job of tracking your movements and has a good level of accuracy when it comes to gauging your inputs. The only downside appears to be that you have to return to complete the same set of exercises several times before your ‘brain age’ is recalibrated and you receive a new set of exercises.
